Audubon Society of Portland

Level One visited Forest Park for a hike and a program called "Beautiful Birds." Students learned more about the local forest ecosystem on the hike and looked for signs of wildlife. During the classroom program, pairs of students examined bird skeletons and nests! We even got to peek inside the bird hospital.

Beal Pond

Level Two visited Beal Pond to practice identifying birds, investigate the functions of the wetland and look for signs of wildlife.

Kestrel Trout Release

The Kestrels traveled to Scoggins Creek to release the trout they raised in the school fish tank.
